I had been wanting to check this place out after seeing a friend post 1lb of crawfish onto Facebook and mouth started to drool. So- I tried it one Friday evening. I was startled to see a banner on the front of the building that said "open now" ----weren't they always opened? In any case- I went in- the decor is nice and there were two other couples in the dining area. I went to the cash register and was greeted by the owner and an employee. I was interested in the crawfish- the owner stated he had a special for the day- crawfish and potato salad. Why not? I took this to go- and the crawfish were excellent. Not too spicy but I wish it were. The potato salad was amazing! I ate every last bit of it. I would definitely go back- probably dine in and getting tons more crawfish!

The owner posted an ad looking for a server, I set up an interview, I got there and he texted me and said he was busy, so we set it for later that day. After meeting with him he offered me a job, and told me to be there the next morning. After getting there the next morning I texted him to find out when he would be there and he said he was running behind. Well after TWO hours of waiting I texted him again and he said he isn't opening the restaurant and he would call me. They seem to be very unprofessional. And should not be running a business.

I have tired out this place. I ordered the 1 lb. crawfish plate and the jambalaya. The crawfish was okay, wasn't anything special about it. The jambalaya was kind of bland and wasn't that tasty. My boyfriend ordered the seafood platter for $22.99 and the platter looked like it was only worth $10.99. It was tiny to cost so much. I wish the price matches with the food. They should give more food. I wasn't impress. If I want some Cajun food then I would go somewhere next time. This place was not worth it.

I hate to give a bad review considering the owners were nice people.. But the food was terrible. The place was completely empty and we should have taken the hint.

This is the closest restaurant to our house and we have tried it twice with no luck. We ordered shrimp PoBoys for lent. Mine was fried. The sauce was good but the amount of shrimp for $9.95 was not a good value. My wife ordered a boiled shrimp PoBoy and again the flavor was ok but it had 7 shrimp on it for the same price. Overall, food was fair - price was out of line..

Wanting a po boy for lunch. And picked the grilled shrimp po boy. And oh my my it was good. Happy it is not far from my home. So return trips will be in my plans. Greeted warmly, nice clean welcoming restaurant. A must do if you are in the mood for any and everything cajun. *note if a meat or seafood is not available they are kind enough to post it is unavailable. Now I like that. That proves they are in tune with wanting to keep dinners informed.

Nice little place to go for something different. The shrimp po boy is the best. The peel shrimp is so yummy but the dipping sauce brings this appetizer to another level! It's a little pricy but since everything is shipped in from Louisiana I can't blame them. Disregard the folks complaining about the seafood smell. The folks around here are not seafood connoisseurs they live hours away from the beach for Peets sake. They did not grow up on seafood. I am a Florida girl and grew up eating fresh fish and love it and find it weird when people think seafood smells.

I have eaten here on several occasions and have always left with a full happy tummy. I have tried everything from the fried shrimp to the Jambalaya, but I have to give a southern shout out about the Seafood Gumbo. It is definitely my favorite!!! I never leave without at least having a cup with my meal and sometimes a big bowl as my meal. It is full of Cajun flavor without being too spicy.....just right!! Uh, my mouth is watering for it right now....yum, yum. I think I'm about to head to Cajun Seafood.

The shrimp po-boy was amazing. I'm not often out in Mount Juliet but would definitely stop by this place again to sample other items from their menu if ever I'm around

This place used to be a food truck on the far edge of Mt. Juliet. I'm so glad they have an actual restaurant now! The decor's a little sparse, but hey, it's clean. You go for the food, anyway. I had the Cajun boiled shrimp with a red potato & corn on the cob: messy but very, very good. It came with a "Cajun dip" that seemed like a variant on remoulade, and it was hard to decide whether I like the shrimp better with or without it (still haven't, since I realized I should've tried dusting them with some of the Tony Chachere's seasoning on the table). Husband had red beans & rice, also delicious, as was the potato salad. The service is friendly but a bit slow; they forgot the boudin burger my husband ordered, but that was ok b/c the red beans & rice was such a generous portion he said he wouldn't have been able to eat the burger anyway. He took it home, and it made a nice snack later. They're going to have crawfish on Friday. I can't wait!

Good food! Boiled crawfish, Cajun boiled shrimp, sausage/chicken gumbo, PoBoys. Wanted some boudin, but no room. Next time. New place. Deserves support while they smooth things out. Nice people working hard. We'll be back for more. Too small for a beer license. If beer is a must, consider take out

Not the worst but not the best either. I got the fried shrimp with slaw. Shrimp weren't bad but the slaw was very good. Wife got fried catfish with fries. Same as shrimp, the catfish was just ok. The fries though were super greasy and soggy. Overall, it wasn't too bad. They are still somewhat new and have room to improve. Will come back in few months and try them again. Lot of restaurants have been in this spot. I hope this one improves and doesn't close.

The place was clean and the service was great. The food was not good. I was very disappointed with the overly oily and salted food. My food did not taste fresh either.

First time to eat there and will be the last, my order was to go and went I got home to eat, the smell knocked me over! Bad, bad, bad! I ordered the boiled shrimp, corn and potato meal. Two bits of each and it went in the trash. Potato and corn was soggy and tasted really bad. As for the shrimp, it was slimy and smelled extremely fishy; I knew not to eat it! I do not know how the person fixing my plate did not notice it himself. It smelled up my house I had to double bag it and that it outside to the trash.

it wasnt bad but for the price meh. the oyster poyboy was alot of bread and a little oyster. the alligator poyboy was good and stuffed. the fries were greasy and soggy and werent 100% done. the slaw however was really good. the corn was overcooked. so it was hit and miss. and they got slammed glad we got there when we did cause there was no place to sit and the staff needed more help. had to keep going back because they forgot what we had on our ticket. i am not saying i wouldnt go back but seafood sensations is equal distance cheaper and alot better.

If you want cajun food that is cooked to order, then this is the place to go. They are still in the early days of being open, so the menu is evolving. The staff was friendly and the food is fresh and seasoned well. Prices are very reasonable too!

Nice to have a taste of Cajun in an otherwise chain restaurant atmosphere. The food, though tasty enough, seems twice removed from Louisiana. It has the items you would expect to have on the menu of a Cajun restaurant, but the taste of someone who is a novice at cooking them. Most of the food is hit or miss. The stuffed shrimp are usually good but I would stay away from the boudin balls- I've had Manda brand that tastes better. Boiled crawfish were over salted the last time I was there and I can handle salt. They did have a nice spice and the overall seasoning was yummy. Best thing they have is their poboy -have only tried the shrimp and catfish so far. Only complaint is that the bread needs to be lightly toasted- bonus points for actual French bread though. The prices are a little high even for TN. They only have plastic spoons and forks so don't count on being able to cut anything in half. They don't have butter for the boiled corn or potatoes. The oil was old the last time I went so anything that was fried was black and burnt tasting. Nothing special about the decor. The restaurant is counter service which it would be nicer to be waited on. In the future I will just stop in, grab a poboy to-go and heat it up in the oven.
